- One of four students will be abused by a classmate
- 15% of high school students reported being bullied up to 3 times per month
- On average, hundreds of students are physically attacked each month
Lastly, the saddest statistic of all:
- 7.7 young people commit suicide every day as a result of bullying
These are the reasons why I’ve set out on a mission to work with students to end bullying in the school system. Instead of beginning bullying prevention with training faculty and staff, hosting seminars and workshops, I start with the students themselves. I have the goal of building them up and empowering them to have the courage to know that they aren’t defined by their bully, and to know that they can overcome their challenges.
